Mind Body Medicine
Mind-body medicine is a complementary healthcare approach that emphasizes the connection between mental and physical health in promoting overall wellness and effectively addressing various illnesses. This method recognizes that psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual factors can significantly influence physical health and overall wellbeing. Its objective is to integrate these essential elements with conventional medical treatments to create a more holistic and comprehensive experience for individuals on their journey towards improved health.
The Malaysia Mind-Body Medicine Practitioners Association (MBMPA) is an organization focused on advancing the integration of mind-body medicine within healthcare. Founded under the Societies Act 1966 by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic practitioners, MBMPA seeks to enhance awareness and accessibility of evidence-based mind-body practices for both healthcare professionals and individuals interested in health and wellness. The association is devoted to making these practices available to all, regardless of socioeconomic background, while promoting their incorporation as a complementary strategy for managing chronic health conditions alongside conventional medical treatments.
